Cory Tanner

Cory is the Founder and President of Exit IQ. He has been involved in every phase of the firm’s growth and development since its inception, working directly with business owners to optimize company value, navigate complex transitions, and prepare for successful exits. Under Cory’s leadership, Exit IQ has advised hundreds of companies across a range of industries on
strategic readiness, succession planning, and maximizing enterprise value. Cory has consulted with founders, management teams, and boards of directors on key initiatives including shareholder agreements, buy-sell structuring, tax and estate alignment, equity incentive
plans, and pre-transaction value acceleration. He is recognized nationally as a leading voice in
exit strategy and business readiness and was named one of the Top 100 Innovators and Entrepreneurs in 2022, as well as one of the Top 100 Business Leaders in America in 2023.
Cory lives with his wife and four children in the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, where they enjoy an active lifestyle filled with horseback riding, boating, snow skiing, and time spent together in the outdoors.
